CEG for me.

I have a theory that very early HKO's are mostly CEG as yours. Would you mind posting the s/n (or at least the first digits)? BTW, I also have a theory that early HKO's have Mitsubishi ignitions, does yours? Johnny

I have a 5/70 CT70HK0 with engine and frame s/n's so close, so they are original to each other. The color is CEG, but was so faded that I had to repaint it. The color looks correct to me. Not a rattle can, it was a professionally painted. The engine and carb were rebuilt by Darrel Gunterson...

You may be able to fix that with epoxy.

I thought the first month of production of the HK0 was May 1970 (5/70). I have frame s/n CT70H-101925, dated 5/70.

I may have a worn timing chain as well. Engine was rebuilt, cranks and runs fine. After about 5 minutes when the engine gets hot, I hear a "rattle" sound. Is this a sign of a worn or loose timing chain? If not, what else could be the problem? John

I have a 1970 HK0 with two small bulbs also. Don't know for sure that are the same as a K0, but most likely they are. Both of my bulbs ate the same. I got them from CHP cheaper that DrAtv. John
