Thank you all for the input. I stripped the frame right down and am going to head blast and paint. Shinny and new looking. Think I will go with mighty green for the frame.

I am in the middle of tearing down a 73 ST90 and was going to sandblast and paint the frame, until a buddy said that this bike would be better off left as original as possible. The exterior is in pretty good shape and could be compounded and waxed. The interior has surface rust. Thoughts? Thank you

Hi Rick Thank you very much for the reply. This is awesome. I will borrow a second set of arms and get the gaskets and strap tool and let you know how i make out. I have an 82 XR200, and a 81 GS750 both finished and on the road or trail.

I just got a 1973 ST90. I am going to restore this bike. The motor has good compression. The previous owner told me it would not shift into 3rd. I have the motor out of the frame now and on the bench it shifts from Neutral into 1st and second. I have opened the clutch cover and checked out the...
