Can someone with the proper 69 yellow paint please take a closeup picture of just the paint itself and send it to me at daddaman@live.ca .

Thanks Tim

Give me a couple of days I have a yellow one. I have somewhere the original muffler guard that has been broken. If I can find it I could cut off and send a piece. I don't think taking a pic would help, cameras and monitors being an unknown in the mix. I had a guy back in the 90's match that yellow exactly,so I painted a nos guard and replaced the old one.

Huge thank you Gary, we now have the proper color for the last of the three 69 builds.
Can't thank you enough, hopefully I can return the favor some day down the road.

Thanks Tim

Tim in your quest for a match you might want to look at Honda S2000's or Goldwings they both came in a yellow but I'm not sure how close they are. Good luck on your project.

Im restoring a 1970 mini trail 50. I would like to use the correct colors if I can.

Do you have any details on the yellow and white colors. I already had everything media blasted.

I'm guessing by your white reference you have a K2? The one with the rear foot brake, long rear fender and the oval tank badges? It was called Mexican Yellow. It might be best to start a new thread so others will see it,someone must have matched it by now.

Isn't the 70/71 not more of a mustard yellow than the 69 ?

Tim has not signed in for over 4 years so I don't know if you'll get an answer. Are you here in the States? Do you have an automotive paint supplier who could mix/tint paint for you?

If you look at my post needing help with my tailight bracket you can see the color I painted mine. If you or anyone else likes the color, I can post a picture of the paint name and code that I used. Let me know
