Trying to get/sustain spark. Replaced coil, replaced stator. Had initial spark after stator replacement. Immediately stopped. Occasionally get it again for a split second.
Removed the kill switch. I’m guessing the disconnected wires to the kill switch, should not be connected, yes? (FYI… not an electrically skilled individual) any assistance would be appreciated👍🏼

Yes, I have two. I followed Another post to test them and both tested well… I fear I’m not getting power to it for some reason. Could the flywheel ever be a contributor?

The CDI is a little box full of magic. But that's what you need to check. It's actually a magnetic pickup that replaces the points and has a little module that reads the signal and tells your coil when to fire. It's also powered by a separate stator winding. There's a process for checking your unit, involving using a resistance on a multimeter. Replacement modules aren't very expensive, but normally they're very reliable. I would check to make sure it's getting power from the stator first. I'm sure there's plenty of how-to's on line.

Soy based wire insulation on fords and a lot of import cars.. some 02 sensors we buy here at the transmission shop have a pepper package to rub on the wires so the rats don’t eat..crazy!
