1982 c70 wont shift after repair (whoops!)

My clutch adjuster bolt was stripped to high heavens and I was unable to adjust the clutch at all. Before I did this job my bike ran well, but would "bite" decently when letting go of the throttle. So, naturally I bough the proper part, took the clutch case cover off, put the new clutch adjustor bolt in, put everything together and started tightening down the case.

At the tail end of tightening all the bolts, I head a loud CLANK...

One big sigh and some bolt loosening later, I found out absolutely destroyed my clutch pressure plate because I put the clutch lifter on backwards. (Like a genius).

I then ordered a new one, got it, double checked every other part I could see for damage, all looked good so I went ahead and put everything back together. Everything went together nicely and now I could finally adjust my clutch (hooray!).

Of course, as I went to test the bike, before I even turn on the engine, I noticed I couldn't move up or down gears, my neutral light was off, and my Kickstarter would grab, but would roll me forward as I slowly pushed down.

I took apart the cover and discovered I could shift gears someeewhaatt with it off. But I couldn't get the bike in neutral.

What did I break? Only thing I could really find online about this was this youtube video:

Any info in good detail would be amazing, bike rode well before this botched repair...really wanna get back on the road.

Not a video that help. Guy took the cover off too fast. You need to get the actuator arm that is installed last, EXACTLY in the middle.

Hmmm you have an example? I referenced the shop manual for how I oriented the actuator arm and even tried a couple different ways all with the same results. No dice.

Here, it's part # 22811-040-020 ''clutch lever'' with the splines that slides on the shifter shaft.

Thanks! I’m pretty sure this is how I set it up, but I’ll try once again before tearing down to the shifter components behind the clutch.
