Nice bike but, it's missing the skid plate and has the wrong axle nuts and a K1 carb.
I missed the plastic levers. How do you know that? I don't see pictures of the bars.

Look at the Z50 pic, note the handlebar that I'm assuming (ut-oh!) belongs to this CT. Plastic rear brake lever. Good catch on the carb.

LOL! Nice. I see it now. Black plastic. That's classy. No wonder he doesn't post a picture of the bars. It also has the one piece left side cover.

I bet he put the Z50 picture in by mistake.

Black plastic levers on the early model CT's were standard equipment. Dennis D is very familiar with these levers as he has a couple CT's with the plastic levers. These levers are very rare as most of them broke off when a youngster would wipe out.

I sent him an email for some better pics. The early ones do have a one piece left points cover. Also i noticed it has the unpainted strap on the main wiring harness, which is only the 3rd one i've seen like this.

I remember "Mini Bike Magazine" tested a CT70 way back when the first came to the 'States. (I wore the pages of that issue out...) Yup, they crashed, and broke the lever. Had all kinds of pictures of it as it happened.

Yes, indeed the early ones came with black plastic levers (I think only on the'69 if I'm not mistaken). I saw a new pair of these not too long ago go for over $400, very, very rare. Honda started having so many problems, they changed to the aluminum.

Sure hope BJ don't see this !:common001:

I'm not for certain, I would think they might be. You might ask Dennis to take some pics and some measurements for sure. Also, you could send imskipinout a PM, he is a 50 nut and has a hardtail and softail and would probably know.

black levers

I believe that they are the same but I was confused when someone said these lever have been worth upto 400.00. I have been into the hardtails for a while and own acouple sets of NOS black levers but didnt pay anywhere near that. IF they are that rare Ill be glad to sell mine for half that for a set.

The place where they are "fetching" high dollar is in the European market and particularly the Dax. I have seen these go for $100 and up in the U.S. market on various bid sites. I wouldn't pay more than $150 if I had a '69, but that's me. There are guys out there who would pay $200 easy for a new pair.

They were the 1st thing I broke with mine. The dealer didn't even offer the plastic ones for replacement.

Gary,
What was your bike (ie, year, model etc). Seems like some were unaware that they even existed. I think they're pretty cool, but only on a show bike, I'd break them for sure!

I seen one set listed with a BIN for 150.00 which didn't sell.I tried contacting the guy after the auction but he no longer had them.I bought one NOS one for about 50.00,but there's no way i would pay 150.00 or more for a pair either.
I just had to mess with BJ since he sold me a nice used one.
