has new points, plug wire end, condenser, plug, and still no spark. the only thing left to replace is the coil i think. any ideas? do coils go bad?

thinking that it has ran before I would say that your points are set wrong. If it hasn't, I would check the ground. ground the coil to the frame then run a temporary ground wire to the engine. then take the black wire right out of the coil and run a jumper wire directly to the black wire at the plug coming out of the stator. that way you eliminate any of the wiring. then check for spark.

my mom is the original owner, its still in mint condition. i was riding it when i was about 14-15(i'm 27 now) and it slowly started loosing power then died and hasn't ran since. recently i started messing with it. i'm pretty sure i set the points correctly but i have been known to make mistakes in the past, and i say that conservatively. any advise for setting them if the ground test doesn't work?

and ty for any and all info
