Here is a pic of it before the original motor was installed and the 2nd is after the original seat was restored by Bob. Wish I had a current pic, but might get one this weekend when I see the current owner.

BTW, hey kirrbby. Sharon was 9yrs when that pic was taken. She will be 12yrs the 29th of this month. She could easily sit on that thing now.lol. If you want, I'll text you a current pic of her.

3 years already! Man time flies. I would love to see a pic of Miss Sharon. Maybe post a re-creation of the one above when you get your bike back. I hope she is happy and healthy. She's gonna need a CT70 of her own pretty quick.

No sign of the video you mentioned in my current phone. When I have some time, I'll look back to that date in my emails and such, maybe I can find it.

I texted you a pic of her and Chanda too.
Yeah, a current pic of her on the bike at the same place would be cool.

I had erased the vid from my phone because I knew it was on this thread and thought it was safe. It would be great if you could find it again. I'm pretty sure I texted it to you. When I email from my phone, it always loses the sound somehow.

My brother loaned me the 900bucks!!!!!!!!!!!! She's mine again. She runs like a top.
It has an inch of dust on it, but I'm feeling victorious and like an ex admitted she was wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lollololoL
Apparently, the gas had been drained. After 3kicks. she fired right up!!!!!!!!!!!
SO FREAKING GLAD SHE WAS TAKEN CARE OF.
Before this pic was taken, I put about 20 miles on her. Runs beautifully and flawlessly.
Somehow I need a ride to my brothers house to get my truck back.LOL

I went to my moms to show her the bike. When leaving, I drove through the yard. BIG mistake!!!. Someone left the manhole cover off of the top of the water meter. I hit it hard. It flipped me and the bike landed on me. I don't heal and take hard hits like I did when I was 20yrs old.lol. I'll be ok, but wow am I sore and have bruises, internal bruises, and cuts all over me. The bike looks fine except for the front rim halves. The right half is trashed and the left is just dented a little. I'm surprised the tube and tire are fine. Was really glad to find the handlebars aren't bent. Alignment is knocked out a little. Easy fixes, but my body needs some time.lol

I don’t know what to say. Glad you are able to walk away from that. It seems like it’s these silly mishaps that sometimes have the most serious consequences. Hope you heal fast

When I get a chance to really look it over, I will. I actually drove it home before the shock wore off.lol. Luckily, I live only a couple minutes away from there. It drove just fine, but was misaligned a little. When I got home tonight from work(Its been tough, especially monday night), I went in my shop and got a pic of the right side.

When you get the new rim, also check the hub, they can deform, too...ask me how I know this.

    Speedy recovery, CJ.:red70:

Damn CJ, that had to hurt! I've never seen a worse looking CT70 rim. You hit hard.
I'm also glad to hear that you're still walkin.
When you find out who left that cover off, I'd give them a, stern talking to. lol...That just ain't right.

Lol...I was talking about the "manhole cover".

Your dirty bike is cleaner than most of my clean bikes.

Lol...if I were to ever really wash and detail one, it would be quite a week for me. I'd probably have to start a thread to log my accomplishment...3 or 4 pages ought to be enough...for the details, of my detailing. Of course I'd need to add some pictures...
    :)

That had to hurt. Get better soon! Not to be a wise guy but I really wonder if 25 to 30 psi in the tires, would have helped the situation. What were they aired up to? Did you check and fill the tires since you got it back?

Good point, Pat. I ran 24/28psi, when I used Trailwings. Everything stayed straight, until I got forced to ride over a bad expansion joint...the only time I've ever bottomed-out the suspension...at 50mph, riding two-up. That tweaked both rims, along with the NOS rear hub. Didn't get any visible traces of deformation, the tires and front hub (solid, billet aluminum) along with the G`Craft wheel stars are came through unscathed. The point is that inflation pressure appears to have been a big factor. The height difference, between the two adjoining slabs, was ~4". That said, an open manhole, being larger than tire OD, would be more like hitting the corner of a wall...as evidenced by the fact that CJ went ass-over-apple-cart. That stop was so brutal, I don't know if anything...short of an evasive maneuver...could have prevented the trauma.
