recently bought a couple of ct70's . one a 72 parts bike and a 73 that is fairly complete, was poking around on the 73, pulled and cleaned the tank and the carb, going to see if I can get it to fire, I noticed that it appears to have a main harness that has the pigtails for the rear signals and the extra pigtail for the flasher harness. this is a 6-72 build bike with the 73 decals on it, were these bikes ever supplied with harnesses made for adding winkers ? the handle bars also have a turn signal switch and horn button on the left side and the kill hi - lo on the right, there is no actual button on the turn switch, the battery box also has the tang on it for the rubber flasher mount to fit on but the 72 battery box also has the flasher mount tang. fairly new to these bikes and I know in 40 years a lot of things can get switched around.

73s came with a lot of the parts for blinkers but not the blinkers. It's normal for the build date to be in mid to late 72 and be a 73.

The 1972/1973 CT70K2 model has the wire harness and handlebar L/R switch but, for some reason, the flasher and turn signals themselves were never installed. Its a mystery from the early production years. It makes for good conversation and definitely a head scratcher.

Very cool info and definitely a bonus for me if I ever tag and ride this thing on the street, most of the work is done for me as far as adding turn signals, First Ill see if it runs and get some other details worked out. thanks for the info
