79 Z50 Foot Peg Mount Problems

A buddy is building a 79 Z50 and when we began assembling the motor to the frame and the brake pedal is too low. The motor is a ZS125 and I need advice on what is the best solution for getting the proper pegs and brake pedal. We are good to buy a completely new setup, but I just want to know what the best options are.

Buy a curved footpeg. It looks like this is a CRF style one. A Z50 should work better or do some heating and bending or cut and weld
 
You can buy a little kit from minimoto on webike that moves the rear guard backwards. I think they are available in 40mm and 100mm but the 40 would work nicely on this bike.

Also, make sure that swingarm has a chain guard/guide as the chain will rub due to the angle on the swingarm

Can you send me the link for the kit? I can’t find it.
 
I had the same issue on my ZB50 with its ZS190, in which I lowered and moved the pegs forward. I made a "C" shaped plate, the same thickness as the brake pedal arm, then I cut and welded the piece in where it interfered. Not really a tough job.
