blown fuse?

ok here's the deal, i have a 73' ct-70 with a 90 cc engine(not a lifelan) but now everytime i run the bike for over an hour at night with the tail and head light on, the fuse at the battery will pop and i don't know why this happens could it be that the battery is overcharging or is it something else

If you have a current meter check to see what the normal current draw is with the lights. If it's close to the rating of the fuse, bump it up a size. If you don't have a meter, try the next size up anyway. You shouldn't hurt anything and if you have an intermittent short, the fuse will blow anyway. If it doesn't blow, your problem is resolved. If it does blow again, you have an intermittent short to track down.

Is your bike running a 6V or 12V electrical system?

Do you have the correct voltage regulator in the system?

Are you running all of your accessories off of the battery? What is powering the main current drawing items like the lights?
