Good luck with that. We live in California. I bought my HKO already titled and plated. I was fortunate. I heard clones can't be registered here.

Your best bet will be to get a title through International Title service. The turn around time is a little slow but you will get a title.

ITS is a good service, but mainly deals in pre-`85 vehicles. They may not be able to help you at all with a new clone bike. No idea what kind of regulatory hoops through which you have to jump in your state, however, this is all going to boil down to whether, or not, your bike has been certified as compliant with all regs in effect on the date of manufacture. The selling dealer is the source for the paperwork. If you bought the bike used, then you've got some detective work ahead of you, tracking down documentation that the DMV will accept.

That one of the reasons I moved the hell out of California 5 years ago. Those A$$ Holes at DMV had the nerve to write me and tell me I owe them dmv fees for my Mustang...:24: Idiots haven't even realized I've moved out of state.:16:
