CL70 Rescue

I inherited a 1970 CL70 Scrambler a couple years ago. I finished the paint and starting to look at the engine. The head has some serious damage and will need to be replaced. Wondering if a kit like this would work.

It might work but it’s not going to have the third cooling fin above the cam cover on the top of the head if your looking to keep it all stock looking… plus it might be worth more with all correct Honda castings..I think I have one that’s rebuildable if you decide to go all stock Honda parts… Also sl70 heads are the same as cl’s and have the third fin..

Explain serious damage to the head. They usually can be rebuilt. That kit looks like all the other ebay too good to be true parts and will only work on 82 and up 70cc or new dome pistons.

Tig welder should be able to weld that back on. Not that serious. That's what I would try first.

E22 head is also an option from dratv.

Put a honda head on it. Ct, cl, xl, sl,c70. Don’t put that cheap stuff on

Tig welder should be able to weld that back on. Not that serious. That's what I would try first.

A local welding shop quoted $150.
