I recently purchased a 72 CT70 the build date on the tags says 11/71 serial number 2026462 (7 digits) but the engine serial number is 226501 (6 digits) does this mean that my bike has a replaced motor? So I’m thinking my bike is a K1 is that correct? Could it be possible that I have the original motor of the bike? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help.

Yes thats a k1 and it should be the correct motor, on k1 engines just put a 0 after the 1st number, then do the subtraction to see if they are within 500 apart, also k1 and newer motors will have a neutral switch under the flywheel cover and a cam chain tensioner jam screw/nut a couple inches in front of where the shift shaft goes into the motor.
