CT70 Crankcase Polish or Paint

    I was scouring the forum and the internet for information on painting or polishing the crankcase. From what I’ve found on this forum, seems like originally they were polished. Is this correct for the K0 and were they clear coated?

    Also, any suggestions on cleaning the head without getting it blasted? I’m thinking of using a plastic wire brush, and then polishing by hand and with dremel.

    Originally, the side covers, flywheel and clutch cover both are painted cloud silver with no clear coat.
    The crankcase and head is as cast. Not polished.
