Does anyone know where I can find a NICE set of K2 side badges at? I bought a set off of eBay and they are nice but they are vinyl. I was looking for silk screen on aluminum Like the original was. If anyone know where I can find these at please let me know.

They have K3 not K2 badges, they have very nice side badges that I always use but they they don’t have K2 badges. The K2 badges have a solid yellow background.

That is unless I haven’t checked the right spot on CHP’S website?!? I have been known to find new things on their site that Iv never before seen thanks to fellow lil Honda members. If they are there please let me know where so I can get them ordered.

Yeah that’s what I saw too Kirrbby, I wonder way no one has nice K2 badges? CHP has to have the other badges made that they sell so It doesnt make sense that they “K2 badges are not available“

11/72 - i am pretty sure i just peeled off the decal - should check my boxes and make sure - i may have saved the peeled decal and I put a fingernail onto an edge of a 73 something Riviera blue tonight and felt the depth of the yellow and believe it was thin - meaning decal - I didn't spend allot of time or thought on it but I'm on it now .

Thanks - I forgot to look in the box for the second time and you guys a far more knowledgable than I on these - I will take your findings as gospel . Thanks
Clayton - I bought the side badges 6 mos ago and found the same as you - only a border of yellow is available - I bought them but I don't like restoring a piece and not having it correct .

Yes sir that’s my problem, it drives me crazy when everything else is perfect and 1 little thing is WAY off. Even though very few people would actually know it lol.

Perhaps you could apply the decal over top of the aluminum ones that are available - it's as correct as your going to get but as well a more expensive alternative . I do like the yellow border better for some reason . Remember when I compared the original 72 badge - the blue top on the original was definately noticable - it was just blue not translucent blue - like a candy over the silver . So at least the yellow decal is very correct looking - I doubt you could tell the differance but if you don't use the aluminum back - you will have those 2 or 3 depressions in the frame side show up as air bubble or similar and the decal without the backing is going to sit deeper and be detected .
In the end I think the closer you work with detail on these the better off the outcome - meaning stock is what I'm after or try and attain . I am fairly new to this hobby but mature as far as paint and body in automotive field and I like it when someone before me touched something and put back the fasteners as original - paid attention to headmarkings , torqued to specs and used the right products . It's so simple - that's what I enjoy about a good tech forum . I am paying attention to that thread on case cleaning and polishing right now . I have been using scotch brite and being carefull but it needs talked about thoroughly.

Right on, I’m going to play around with some different options / combination. I’ll be sure to post my final results.
