Looking to see if anyone would have a clue as to why my kickstarter is "locked up", it will not move at all. If I pull in the clutch lever the kickstarter will cycle as it should. But this obviously doesn't spin the motor.

I know the motor isn't locked up because I can spin the crank by hand and I can see the piston moving up and down.

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Thanks

Is the transmission in neutral? Let's start there. A number of possibilities come to mind, most of which require splitting the cases to diagnose & correct. So let's try the easy stuff, that doesn't require a complete teardown, first.

I know this is a silly question but what is the shift pattern on these? 1 down, 3 up? 4up?

lets find out what model ct70 you have. The motor vin is on the left side of the motor as sitting on the seat behind the shift shaft. You may need to wipe the dirt/grease/oil off to get the vin. If you have the CT70H-XXXXXX then you have a 4 speed manual clutch and these bikes will not kick over with the clutch pulled in. If you have just CT70-XXXXXX then you have a 3 speed semi automatic. On a 4 speed the left bar is the clutch and on a 3 spleen the left bar contains a rear brake.

The motor vin will give everyone here a head start as long as nothing was modified.
