I'm new to the game. The bike has been stored for a while. Runs great but goes from first to third. Three speed auto on a 1974 ct70. Any help ?

Always start with the easiest and work toward the worst fix. Fortunately, that is also the correct order if you end up having to split the cases for a transmission repair.
Pull the right side engine cover for a look. A common, and also likely problem, is a loose shift star, or detent arm, and they are behind that cover. Pull the cover. Pull the clutch and primary gears. Check everything as you go. Shift star and arm are behind the big primary gear.

You might want to invest in a impact driver, and a clutch nut tool before you start.
If you want to spend another 20 bucks, buy a flywheel puller. 25-30 more, and you can get a service manual printed on real paper :)

Sage advice. Proper tools and manuals are necessary.

Good advice backed by experience is also quite valuable. I am pleased to have found this site.
