Hey sport fans, Washed and charged my 91' Trail bile this weekend! It had been in storage since Sept 1st 2018 along with my other stuff while I sold my old house. It was really dusty, needed a wash.

From the move; the worst damage is a bent rear blinker stay and a scratched muffler guard, both easy fixes. The mover guys were good but they always moved the bike by the seat!!! I showed them the bikes grab Handle, they showed No interest.

Anyway, washed it and charged the 12 volt battery. I'm gonna cruise this stock bike for the time being , should be fun for neighborhood roads & trails .. .Gonna change the oil and add some gasOline. The carbs a new aftermarket, curious to see it's performance. Will find out sometime 100_0072.JPG 100_0092.JPG 100_0097.JPG this week.

new to posting pics here but here goes...

Glad to see you got it out to ride. Time to put some miles on it.
I would have probably screamed them stupid if I saw them pick up on the seat AFTER I had explained to use the grab handle.lol. I would NEVER let movers even touch my HK1.

Yep, that 91' was supposed to be a Sunday rider but I have decided WTF. It's registered and with only 276 miles, the engine isn't really well broke in, Ill do that, eventually consider a 108 stroker upgrade in its future. I was scared to drive it (72cc) on Vegas streets filled with drunken idiots but out here no ProblemO.

As far as the movers being slow learners, yep, they are...but I also had my 79' and 77' restomod to worry about as well as the Stang, which had failed brakes on the day of the move...LOl
Alls well that ends well or something like that. Here's a pic, this garage is bigger than the old one, I'll say it once again, moving sucks Huge. 100_0106.JPG

Nice... just stumbled upon this thread, wish I had one of those bikes right now, good news is these new friends of mine have some kickass offroad toys. Hey, I'm not above borrowing a bike or some other piece of equipment, I just won't ride quite like the crazy fool that I usually am, LOL. :cautious:

Gotta admit its been a dam long time since I last rode... The last couple years it seems was getting the old Vegas casa into selling shape. I landscaped the backyard and even had to construct a wind/privacy wall on the patio plus paint and some plumbing and then finally showing the house, which I did about 25 times before it freaking sold.

But this Chevy Tracker has been a blessing and the only thing Ive been driving as of late ...been great for traversing the mountain passes. It's really a Suzuki Grand Vitara rebadged by Chevy. Four wheel drive comes in handy up here but I can't wait to cruise this place on a CT 70!:red70:

    Fuel Line Snaps!
I went to reroute the fuel lines cause I wasn't happy with it. I took off the pet cox valve and when I did the reserve fuel Line snaps in two!

I remember replacing the main line but I left the reserve line alone cause it looked fine. I guess after Seven months in Hot storage, the rubber dried up and snapped just like a pretzel. Lucky I did not put fuel in the tank yet, the position of the fuel line just didn't seem right. Its been so long but I just remembered that I rebuilt the original Honda Carburetor and that on it now is the original.

This will put the maiden voyage on hold for now :(

This could of caused a Fire on the Trail! 100_0141.JPG 100_0149.JPG

Buy 2 feet of fresh clear blue. This is a perfect time to flip that petcock to face the rear end of the bike and you won't have the weird bends and clean up the look big time. Things happen for a reason, this one worked out good.:D

    OMG:mad::eek:
I pulled the tank and both lines are fatally cracked!! If i had gassed it up...KaBooM!

Yep your right Old CT, things happen for a reason..glad my ocd kicked in and I started messing with the lines... there is no way they were that brittle when I last worked on them. That 8 month storage in the vegas heat was too much for those 30 year old lines.

Good thing I have some OEM NOS Honda Fuel line in stock, so back to work!(y)

So its all done! I ended up staggering the fuel filters and laying them into the cavity w/out laying on the engine. Too dusty out here to not use em.
Tomorrow morning , I will put some gasOline right after I put in some fresh oil and see if it will start!✌ 100_0183.JPG 100_0173.JPG 100_0187.JPG 100_0177.JPG 100_0183.JPG 100_0187.JPG

Looking good! Sometimes fuel will leak from the petcock packing the first time you re introduce fuel to it. They get a little ''smaller'' when they go dry. Just be ready to shut it off and have a good size rag around. After a day it will return to normal.. So do not over do it filling the tank, just under reserve should do till you are sure it's not gonna leak!

Hey Darrel, yeah I did both, got a different house and moved 70miles~north of Vegas, about 6- 10? miles from Pahrump.

North Las Vegas where I did live, was getting really congested with Californian refugees looking to work their magic and turn yet another neighborhood into a low income paradise. Hell that's the reason I left Cali in 04' in the first place. Honestly, now I'm so dam glad I left NLV! When the Raiders finally move in, its gonna bring that raider nation crap and all the gang stuff. I use to live in the bay area was 50 miles from Oakland. I hate the Raiders.

Interesting... I am in the process of building a garage/ shop and house in Pahrump about a block down from the winery. Trying to get out of Vegas for some of the same reasons. Let me know when you want to build that 108 and maybe I can help you out ?

    Heck yeah!
Lol, you're Leaving Las Vegas too? It;s a good time to ca$h out while you can Wow that's great. I'm in the Mountain Falls development about 10 miles away from there but I know where the winery is.

I have been pondering my 108 build and at this point know not what to build❓.??

The money spent for building the 79 would come close to a new Honda Grom, tta was my other choice.
I was itemizing all the time & expense plus the Dmv hassle for building my 1979 Ct70, the money starts adding up. In the interim, I decided to fire up the 91'. That may indeed be my 108 build.

    Welcome to the neighborhood Darrel!:)

Yeah, I love it here, been an unbelievable month. But When they complete the Highway 160 expansion project Spring Mountain in Aug. 2019, there will be lots more people escaping Vegas and prices will start to go up here I bet. ...

I live a few miles from this race track and if you listen, you can here them racing on the weekends. That's why I call this place Motor Mountain!
