CT70 Stand? Would this work?

Happy New Years everyone!

Iv attached some pics of my engine stand that I use, I want to make another stand like it but that has a bottle jack on it so I could lift the whole bike. My question is would it be OK to support the whole weight of the bike from the foot peg mounting holes? Any and all info is appreciated.

Ive done it for reassembly. I like the Trailbuddy stand, but I also have zero welding skills to make my own.

Make sure you have solid welds and the stand is wide enough to not tip over. I'd go wider than what you have in the photo. Know how deep you can thread the bolts. Too deep and you will punch a hole in the case. Too short and you may pull out the threads.

That would work honestly Kirrbby, I never would have thought I could use my floor jack like that. I was just looking to be able to take my front wheel/rear wheel off for random things. Or be able to shit through my gears while my bike was stationary.

I've used a ratchet strap hung from the ceiling before, but my favorite go too is the old milkcrate. Used it last to change the fork tubes. As you can see here, both wheels off the ground. Its pretty stable if you dont go ape nuts on something stubborn.

A while back, someone here used an adjustable wide office chair. They just removed the chair and made an adapter plate. It could go up/down, spin around, and be wheeled around. I think it was ....kirrbby????

Ya I have one of those...I think a few of us do now. But mine is made to bolt to the frame...no engine installed. It could probably bolt to the fp mounts. But the hard part would lifting the bike high enough to get the chair stand under it.

Right on, I’m 100% sure what I’m gonna do just yet. I’m still fighting the urges to build a way overkill setup.
