CT90 K3 Blinkers

So I just bought a K3 CT90 and it has a turn signal switch but no turn signals?!?! I haven’t tore deep into the wiring but it seems to not have the wiring for turn signals ether. The more I dig into this bike it seems that several parts are not correct for a K3 but I haven’t found a good “build spec” for a K3 yet. Does it sound possible for Honda to have put the switch on and not the lights or did someone put the wrong handlebars on it and left the switch? Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure here area couple pics of my setup.

I think Honda sent them ready for blinkers, but did not put the actual turn signals on and left that to the dealer as required by local ordnance's.

BUT I could be wrong,. heaven knows I have been in the past ...

That’s great info Midnightpromises! And a damn good website you linked to, that’s exactly the kinda site I have been looking for. So maybe my bike is more original than I was ?!?! So would it be crazy to try to put turn signals on it?

That’s making me feel better about mine LOL, What K model is your 1970? I was thinking the exhaust on my K3 wasn’t right because it was a chrome muffler with chrome guards but yours has a chrome muffler to?

Mine is a very much hand me down... Its like I got it.."The 1970 'K2, continued to have an extra light for indicating the activity of turn signals (often called "winkers" in documentation, and labeled with a "W" on the speedometer face). And, there are a few reports of 1970 'K2's having turn signals factory installed, but as of yet we don't have photo proof." "

My 1970 CT90 came with a turn signal ("winker") switch, but no actual lights as well. What I've read is that turn signals were not required in the US in 1970, but were required in other markets. Honda didn't want to have multiple wiring/switch for each market, so they put the switch on every bike, even if there weren't any lights. I added aftermarket turn signals and a flasher to my bike and they work well, but it was a chore to find everything in 6 volts.
