Thanks again Kirrbby!,, I got it for $700 .my sister lives 20 minutes away from him and has truck for pickup..she will bring to me next time she comes to Jacksonville…I think that’s a smokin deal for $700. I just hope I don’t die before I get all these bike restored!!!! Lol

That's awesome Robert thran! I think it's a great deal too. It looks pretty dang straight to me...and it's a 78...Black Beauty. I think those bikes are awesome. I've never had a single one...or even a frame come to my hoard.

I was thinking $750 could be a winner...you bettered it by a Grant. I'd have been REALLY happy at 750.

One other good thing is i got a bill of sale from him in Georgia..Georgia is a bill of sale state ( no titles issued) on the old small motorcycles. I can turn it into a Florida title real easy..I’ve done it several time from bills of sales my sister wrote out being she lives in Ga. Also the headlight ears look to be black so I can straighten them and repaint rather then spend big $$ on finding straight one to rechromed..I also have a few of the later style carburetors with the round bowl if that’s the style that goes on a 78? Anyone know for sure when Honda went to round bowl carb? From the pics the carb and tail light lens looks to be the only thing missing…

Should we have a game and guess what the speedo says for miles on the 78 only going from the 5 pictures in the listing? My guess is 3300.

Over the years...I've passed over some very nice skid plates for 25-$35. But I believe those days are gone. Not too long ago, I paid $125 for a really nice used one and haven't regretted it.
This seller wants $170 for some of his/hers...but they DO look pretty nice. If you insist on original parts, and you need a nice skid plate...put your best eye on these, and get them while they're hot.

While you're lookin...take a close look at the K1 forks and fork ears...500 and 300...BUT, nice examples have become very very hard to find. How much are straight, original, red, K1 ears worth?? Maybe 300 is a better deal than you think.

And the miles are…… can we get a drum roll………………4529… I got to say a little higher than I excepted. the guy said his uncle bought it brand new in Texas and gave to him…his uncle must have really liked it!! My sister just happened to live about 20 minutes from him and picked it up for me. She will bring it to me next time she comes to Jacksonville so I may not get to to my eyes on it for a couple months. I’ll post pics when it arrives..
