Feel free to save the manual to your computer. It is in Adobe Acrobat format, so is easy to read and print. Free reader at Adobe.com if you don't already have it.

You can print out necessary pages to take into the garage and get greasy as you work, then toss and print again if you need them! You could print the whole thing, which is not a bad idea. If you do save it, burn it to a CD so you don't run the risk of losing it in a computer crash. I don't plan on moving it from my site, but things do change on the net :o

thank you again. I took your advice and copied to my computer and this server. The link above is from this server, but its always nice to know theres another copy on the net. Like you said, things do change quite frequently on the net, and sometimes without our control

Thanks a bunch for the manual!!! Do you have any idea where to get a "Parts Assembly Manual"? I am new to rebuilding and would like to pick one of these up.

Thanks

The link to the "detailed shop manual" in the original post above is no longer valid. Is there somewhere I can still get access to this?

Just a related note... some of these assembly manuals are still kicking around e-bay. I picked one up for about 35 bucks a couple weeks ago. The covers are reprinted, but the inside pages are in good original shape (for being an almost 40 year old book). Having a very straight-forward manual like this has made working on my bike more enjoyable.

One more thing..I stole an idea I remembered from high school auto shop. Take a small cookie sheet from the kitchen and attach a couple hinges and a nice little piece of plexiglass. I keep my manual in this while on the workbench, keeps it perfectly clean, all the time.
