Dr ATV Order Confusion...

ordered on the 12th the better carb rebuild kit from dratv...next day realized i needed a new float too, so i ordered that in a separate transaction since the rebuild kit was already closed and paid.

today only the float shows up so i looked around a little in my email..seems i never received a shipping notice for the carb kit, but did get charged for it.

does this happen occasionally where he messes the order up...?

I have never gotten a messed up order from Jack. If you have the confirmation e-mail from the missing first parts order, he will make it good for you. You can contact him by e-mail from his web site and you absolutely will be treated right if he did make a mistake.

Never happened to me. I ordered things separately and he has combined shipping and gave me a refund with out even asking. Jack is one of the best in the business.

Yeah it happens all the time.
All the time? That's just not true.
I have placee over 15 orders and only one was wrong (sent me the wrong part). When I brought it to their attention, they immediately shipped the right part and gave me the option to keep the wrong part for a dramatically reduced price or ship it back COD. Very accommodating.

well it's been 24 hours and I've sent three emails stating his error and nothing back...not even a peep.

not digging this lack of response and the fact i've been charged and I'm left hanging...

Do you have the confirmation e-mail sent to you immediately after order completion for the missing shipment? It will help Jack to track down your order.

I've been ordering from dratv for about 10 years now. In that time, I must have placed 50 orders. Never once did it get messed up. Never. If he messed something up or got confused, he will make it right.

I do have all the emails for purchasing. I have duplicate shipping emails...meaning he sent a shipping notice twice for the same part. The initial part I ordered never shipped...

I know he'll make it right..I have the proof...it's just that they're not responding to my inquiries to move this along. That's insanely frustrating. My bike is apart and i had plans to put it all back together, yet I'm dead in the water till he wakes up and notifies me.

I can understand your frustration, really. That said, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone more honest than Jack. He gets backlogged at times. Sometimes the dratv e-cart misbehaves, causing problems. Occasionally, there have been minor mistakes in orders. However, after doing business with him for as long as fatcaaat, I still have to give the man his props.

Mistakes have always been corrected. On occasion, when an item or two is on backorder, he'll ship what he has, then send the missing items as soon as he gets them...at his expense. I've even had an item that was damaged in shipping replaced, no questions asked, didn't even have to return the damaged part. The worst thing I could say about the "doc" is that email replies have been slow on a couple of occasions, during busy season. That's not a whole lot to complain about after 11 years.

You should be able to track your first order by number, online. I always receive two confirmation e-mails with each order: one when the order is placed, the second when it ships. If you're missing one, or both, of these then something may have gone pear-shaped with the Yahoo shopping cart. All I'm trying to say ( and in far too many words... sorry) is that I'd be shocked if the underlying cause of your order problem is anything other than an honest mistake, that will be corrected. Hang in there, imho it'll be worth it.

came home and there was the kit i had ordered...very nice..

all is good and the explanation seemed reasonable.

already rebuilt the carb and started her up...need to fine tune a little but all in all a good experience.
