purchasing the motor for 400 or the whole bike? First off, it will be MAJOR surgery to put the monkey engine in a dax/ct type frame...beyond complicated. I've done a lot of due diligence on this and the only way to do it successfully would be to cut the frame off at the lower portion straight back from under the upper engine mount bolt and refabricate the entire lower portion, including the swingarm and brake lever mounting. It's less complicated on a z50 due to the way the frame is constructed, but on a z50 you'd need a minimum of a 3" extension on the frame plus fab to change the mounting. No easy task.
Now, I'd certainly be interested in the whole thing myself....i had a grom engine sitting here and planned to do the swap and did all the research, but then someone I knew blew his grom motor up and he ended up with it. This exercise would be for a pretty experienced fabricator for sure. I did end up swapping a complete grom front end onto a CT70, and I'd say I had 10-12 total hours in it.
