Gear Shift Lever and Other Misc Stuff

    Is this the correct gear shift for this bike? I've never seen the lever stick out past the end of the shaft like that.

    Do passenger foot pegs go here?

    Does something bolt up here? And that VIN, it looks like the 99 wasn't stamped into the frame.

    yes that looks like correct shifter, its probably like that to clear the flywheel cover. You want cover on before you bolt the shifter on so it doesn't hit it during upshifting. Yes thats the buddy peg bolt holes. No cable, overflow tube off the bottom of the carb. The motor mount bolt/stud also doubles for 1 of 2 mounting places for the air box. The other mount spot for air box is just behind the carb on the bottom of the main frame.

    Thanks for the info. I'm surprised how much of the bike is there for one that was treated so badly.

    The 9’s on all the VIN’s look like that.
