Gonna build a sidecar

I wanna take my best friend of 15 1/2 years for a ride (my dog). So i've decided to try to make some sort of sidehack for her to ride in. I've got 3 main goals with this project:
1. Finish it before the ole' girl kicks off. -figure she doesn't have much time left :20:
2. Inexpensive. :3: - oh and not butcher the bike.
3. It's gotta NOT kill her. At her age, the plan will for it to be narrow so it will offer support on each side, front and back. I may even incorporate a sling so she cant fall down.

Started mocking things up to get the gears turning and see where i am headed.

Keeping it on the cheap, i've started with half of a folding mechanics creeper that i bought from the swap meet for $5 (this will be the base/frame)

The plan currently is to mount it to the swing arm and to use the swing arm pivot mount bolt. I dunno if either of these will work out, time will tell i suppose.

Here's a couple pics of where i'm stating. Feel free to offer suggestions and criticisms. (not sure if the hinge will stay. That was an early idea to so that it would allow the bike to lean for corners)
