Hack Jobs That Actually Work

We've all seen hack jobs and they are plentiful. What I'd like to see here are some that actually worked. Be it a car, bike, boat, or home. My older brother is notorious for hack jobs that actually work and this pic here reminded me of him.lol

Looks to me to be a slack adjuster and a nail.

Came across this when tearing down the black 78 ct70…maybe the high performance retaining clip allowed it to get more miles out of the sprocket..? If I was to try that I wouldn’t make 200 feet but I can fell it’s been on there for awhile!!

You guys will love this one. It's not really a hack job, but, more like a McGyver job. My buddy and I had the exact same IT 200's. We were out one day in 2015 and he had a wipe out. Actually we both fell. I was at th bottom of a muddy hill and he was about 1/2 way down. I saw him getting up, and he came down to where I was. I noticed gas dripping under his bike. Upon further inspection his little screwdriver/spark plug wrench had impaled the tank right between the steering head and tank. He carried that tool in his crossbar pad. I had mentioned to him a couple of times at least that was a bad idea. So we got the front wheel up on the embankment and removed the tank. we tried to find something to plug the hole, but nothing worked. He had some 2 part epoxy at his house which was only 3-4 miles from where the trucks were parked. So he suggested that he take my bike, get in his truck and go get the stuff and come back and try to repair it. So, off he goes. I'm sitting there like a bump on a log and I start calculating the time. 8-10 miles to the trucks...2....more like 2.3 hrs before he gets back. I'm like no ^^%#$# way am I gonna sit here for 2+ hours. So, I take the vent hose off of his gas cap and hook it to the petcock and to the carb. I hold the tank in my lap and away I go. There was a couple of hills that I had to put the tank on the ground, ride up, go down and get the tank, and back up... So, I get back to the truck, and I take my bike and hide it down off the embankment. I park his bike where mine was, but I couldn't put the tank on it cuz I didn't want it leaking on the ground. He pulls up in his truck and I'm hiding in the bushes filming vid. I cant post the vid but this is a still of the moment he realized.....something aint right here..... he let out an audible "HUH"? I started laughing so hard I couldn't hold my phone still and he heard me. He said his 1st thought was that someone stole the gas tank off my bike. Then he noticed the green handguards. LOL Good times...
