Just wondering if u guys know of any links for the correct handlebars for CT 70 - The ones I have on my replica are alot smaller than the originals - I will check all the sites posted in resources but thought I'd also post here - Otherwise I may try to bug some friends of mine to have their friends make me a custom set - This would take a long time prolly though - I notice alot of aftermarket bars seem to be the smaller ones also - If any have a spare set themselves mayeb I could use Paypal to purchase - When I get paid next hehe - Check out the gallery page - My yellow bike and you'll see how small my bars are lol - I can ride anywhere but I like the longer ones my friend has

You've got the newer version of the bars. It seems all the replica bikes come with the shorter handlebars. Once I tried to order some from Powerbike USA and they were a good two inches shorter than my original bars. They claimed they were the right bars, but they practically hit me in the knees when I tried to turn. I think the clone makers have gone to the bars used on the 50 cc bikes and are just selling them as for the 70's too.

For your type of internal twist throttle, you will need to find some bars from a 1974 to 1978 model. The left hand bar you can get from Dr. ATV, but the right hand I've only found on e-bay and they are few/far between. I wish someone would make a full set of the original length bars, but so far I've haven't found any and I've been looking for two years now.

First of all, Powerbike deals in Chinese parts, no Honda items of which I am aware.

More importantly, even the bars that come in Honda wrappers complete with Honda tags have been different every time there's a new production run. There are subtle differences in the bars that Honda used over the years the CT & ST70 were made. The K0 triple trees mount the bars at a different angle than the K1 & later. Northeast Vintage Cycle sold "K0" bars that worked very nicely on the later bikes...about 2" wider at each side, measured from the outside edge of each bar. Unfortunately, they sold out of these and the newest run is narrower, a "better compromise" I've been told. The overall size & shape is identical to ST70 bars, except, unlike the ST's, they have the integral lever perches. These seem to be closer the the "correct" OEM configuration than what they sold previously. I agree that these feel too small. The only solutions I can see are to cut the locating flanges and reweld them such that the bars are where you want them, or have your own custom bars made. Neither is easy, or inexpensive, plus you'd earn the priveldge of enriching your local chrome shop.

Z50 bars, depending upon the production run, are only about an inch smaller than the CT bars.
