To be honest, none of the reproduction seats I have seen match the original shape and profile. They are close, but if you're looking for an absolute carbon copy in terms of foam shape, correct vinyl grain, seam and stud location....that is gonna be tough. I have used the K0 CHP honda seat and I was definitely impressed with the craftsmanship and quality, but definitely not identical to the originals. I will say the foam is much firmer than a nice original K0 seat too. I think for the money it might be the best option. Just my personal preference and opinion.

The pics of the seat on the red bike are an original pan and foam with a new cover from Phatmx.com that I restored, and the seat on the blue bike is a complete CHP seat assembly.....notice the location of the rear seat stud, it should be in front of the vertical seam. And the CHP seat is slightly flatter at the rear. Also, every reproduction seat cover I've seen has a stitched vertical seam, which is only correct for early silver tag CT70's. Later on in production the seat has a heat pressed vertcal seam, like yours.

For reference, here is a near perfect original K0 heat pressed seam seat I have. Sorry, but it is not for sale. Lol. It's for a future build that is going to be pretty special to me.

Thanks so much for the info! I’ve been looking at Rich Gassner’s seats on Marketplace and they look really nice. I’m going to need three for my builds, so I’ll start with one and see how it goes.
I didn’t even notice the rivet placement on those other seats until you pointed it out — really appreciate the heads-up!

If you just need "a seat", then the price is right. Certainly not the best seat if you want one that is most correct looking. If the seat you posted at the top is your seat, I would find a nice cover and repair it. 40 bucks can get you a nice cover and with a bit of time you can have one that is more correct.

The seat I posted is my best one but the pans are a mess, Im a preservation guy so all 3 bikes will definitely be ridden.
For the most part Im using all OEM Honda parts but I realize a few parts will have to be aftermarket but I only want good quality stuff.

Its broke in 2 places, Im going to repair one of them when I get back in the shop. Right now Im working on the fuel systems and cables.
Working on one and two on deck! :)
