Honda E40 generator petcock

Working on this little e40 generator I have now, it runs nice but the petcock leaks badly so I'm trying to figure that out. The reason I'm posting on here is I was wondering if anyone might know of a part that might interchange with something else. It's a very strange design, and has a piece of cork in it. Currently soaking the cork in warm Marvel to try and make it expand, but not too confident I can make it work. It's a pretty neat little thing, I've got the matching Sony portable tv coming in the mail too

Try getting a sheet of cork gasket paper at an auto parts store that is the same thickness as the original. Then use a hollow punch set to make the holes in the new gasket to match.

How thick is the original one? 1/8"? /1/4"?
I haven't measured it yet but seems like 1/8" or so? Seems a lot more compressed than normal cork, I might try rubber instead

Got my second one in the mail, I was able to steal that gasket and get the first one to stop leaking, so I'll make a new one when I go through the other generator. I also stole the nicer sheet metal to make the first one look almost new, and aside from the governor needing oil, it runs like new!
