Ive had my 02 trx 90 for about 6 years now and was wondering if cutting the pink wire near the cdi actually eliminates the governor as google says?

Looking at a wire diagram...the pink wire just connects to one of the neutral switches...I think the pink reads 4th gear. Then sends that info to the CDI. But I don't know what the CDI does with that info
Anyway...instead of cutting it, you can just disconnect it easily, right under the left side engine cover...see what changes..?

Got a great deal on it because they "couldn't get it to run", so after an hour of trouble shooting I put a new spark plug in it. LOL. She's about ready to go. .
