Thanks for all the help guys... going to try and work on it again later today. I need to get this going kids want to ride... I would love to have someone that lives close to me that knows how to work on these bikes would be nice to have help but I know Im learning lots and never thought I would be taking the engine apart... got to love this forum.

I got it started and was running rough and hard to start. I cleaned the carb and still the same issue... I checked the spark plug and it's new but all black does that give you an idea what it could be? I re-checked the valves also. At least I got it running and it ran for a few minutes but I had to keep giving it gas for it to run. I got a cheap Chinese Carb on the bike just an fyi.

I'm still having issues with this bike... I get good spark and try to start and re-check for spark and then nothing. I checked all connection and ground and I re-gapped the points like a million times cleaned the points and its on and off just weird. I got a new coil on it maybe that's the issue should I try the old one? I'm just running out of options and ideas. I thought for sure after rebuilding the engine it would start right up but that's not the case. Any help would be appreciated.
