I’m in Mexico now. Gas is 4.50 a gal. One site says Mexico imports 80% of it’s fuel from the US. So if that’s true, stick it to the US tax payer.

I don't usually get political, but our gov't gives the oil companies special tax breaks and incentives, not to mention all the lobbyists that vie for favorable oil legislation in return for campaign contributions. It doesn't matter who is president. Here in California we're such hypocrites. We complain about our high fuel prices, yet we demand we stop off- shore oil drilling and decommission our oil wells. We drive big SUV's and pickups as fast as we can, and pay $15 to drive 9 miles in a fastrack lane. $6 a gallon for gas is outrageous, but $6 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks totally ok.
