Here is a pic of a NOS engine from the seventies. Not a CT70, but old and vintage Honda

I like that your paying close attention to finishes and suspect fasteners and such getting equal attention .
Details and time .
ON the other end of the spectrum - it becomes a queen and you know how that goes - Its only available for viewing and autograph sessions .
Looks good and doesn't take up too much space though .

I'm thinkin it's only a queen if you treat it like one.
If you restore it and then don't want to ride it...afraid you'll scratch, dirty, or damage it...you'll have to treat it like a queen. Or, you can just ride it and try to be careful, keep it clean, etc. If you restored it once, you can do it again if necessary.
If you scratch the original 50 year old Honda paint off of your bike...you can't get that back.

And some guys don't ride the bikes in their "collection" of queens, but have rider bike(s) that they don't mind dirtying. Or, maybe they don't want to ride at all...ANY bike.
There is no wrong way to enjoy motorcycles.
