I found it! Honda QA50

While cleaning out my parents garage, I found my first mini bike. If memory serves me correctly my bike was a 1970 Honda Mini Trail "Amigo". Not sure, I was probably 11 years old. Anyhow - just curious....is this easy to fix - parts readily available, or shall I donate it? Thanks.

Looks pretty complete & straight. As long as the transmission isn't jumping out of gear, this one should be relatively simple...as restorations go.:16:
 
If you loved that little bike as a child, you had better think long and hard before you let it get away. It looks to me like it might be ridable right now. Clean carb and tank, clean and set the points, air filter, spark plug, check oil, add fuel, cross your fingers and kick it over. Little Honda's want to run, sometimes they need a little help.

IF you are serious about parting with that little bike please let the forum know and I'm certain that it will be gone in a nanosecond.
 
Congratulations on recovering your QA50. To reiterate Kirby's sentiments.....I'd think long and hard before letting this bike go. My first riding memories include a qa50, and I've obtained and restored two. Your bike looks very complete, so hang on to it and get it running. Parts are readily available from both NEVC and Re-Mx. These are relatively simple bikes, so start with flushing the tank, removing and cleaning the carb, and checking for spark. If you don't know how, just ask. As Racerx mentioned, probably the biggest issue with these bikes was the second gear slip, but hopefully it's not an issue for yours. Both of my bikes had the slip but it was addressed. Good luck!

I don't think there is anybody on this site ,that had a little Honda as a kid and sold it ,that doesn't regret getting rid of it .The bike looks like a very easy project that a first timer could handle with relative ease .
As much as most of us would love it as a project ,who in their right mind would trade that for a road kill helmet ?I have an aluminum Easton Wayne Gretzky stick I would trade ,with the stick you could whack a coon and make your own hat and I will find a picture of a coon skin hat for you on the internet and will include that at no charge !
