Ah, this must be for the smaller taillights. Are your K1's to the point where they need to be rechromed?

Sorry I haven't had time to look up any brackets for you. I'll try to get to it tomorrow. I'm not sure of their condition. I should have a couple in boxes. re-chrome? probably.

This came in the mail today and is a nicer part. So this is now the $60 part and the other is... less. This one still has some rust and such, but not too bad. epamyhu5.jpg atuqu8yt.jpg 9eryduse.jpg ru9avujy.jpg

I haven't used one or ever seen one so don't quote me but it appears to me that you first slide on the correct grinding end (with the teeth toward the skinny narrow part) on the tapered end of the bigger shiny punch looking like thing, then the skinny part looks like would go into the valve guide to keep the correct angle and from there grind away looks like clockwise is the way to grind. Even looks like you can put an handle on it to help turn

lukelaw1 I think you got it right. When I looked into it it looks like it will be fairly simple to use, I think technique will be very important tho. I found a couple old threads in other forums and a video on how they are used. I should have them tomorrow. I think it was a good purchase.

I think I may have scored on this one. I was looking at this ad on my cell phone so the pics were hard to see, but it looked like a 12v motor to me. And I could see the ab22... serial number but wasn't sure what that was from. Anyway I jumped on it for $87 shipped. When I got home I looked it up. ZB50 engine, 12 volt electrics with the harness. Got it yesterday and looked it over a bit. Compression feels really low, flywheel sensor mounts are broke off the stator plate. Threads, fins, cases, and shafts all look pretty good. It looks like someone ran it pretty hard tho, maybe with no air filter on it. Just my initial impression. Real happy with my purchase tho. Does anyone know if there is anything special about the ZB50 motors??

The Honda 12v stator is a nice acquisition. I believe they were all wound the same. I'm curious, is the plug the same as your ST? Looks like the 12v CT. It will probably bolt to your China stator plate. That wire harness will show you how to do your 12v Z and it's small too. Just need a 12v switch.

The plug looks identical to the st, pretty sure the wire colors are the same too. Small, 4 pins and the extra BL/R wire. I have a bare stator plate that I got from cjpayne. I'm too far into figuring out the wiring for my 12v Z50 engine to change the plan now, using your advice. 2nd regulator is due here on Tue. and I've been studying the wire harnesses and such. I'm starting to get it, I think. I don't have time to mess with this zb50 motor right now but I was gonna pull the flywheel for a look and then put it all away. You are right tho, the stator is the real prize here. The harness too, I think the zb50's have turn signals. Any way you shake it, well worth the $87 to me.

The electrical is filthy but looks healthy. Should be able to straighten the mounting flange of the sensor.

I think I might have scored with this. Not cheap, but not bad. I've rarely ever seen H specific manuals. Usually they say CT70 CT70H, both on the cover. Honda 1970 1971 CT70H Minitrail Owners Manual | eBay

This may be a HK1 manual and that's why it's different.
This seller has a Z50 K1 NOS manual also, if you're lookin.

I got my manual today. Looks like the real deal. HK0 There is a wiring diagram that looks like they tucked it in last minute. Printed on a separate sheet of paper, folded and glued in at the end of the book. lol Here's a couple pics.

    Cool score kirrbby.
I noticed the copyright says 1971. Does that mean HK1 or HK0? Check to see if the wiring diagram lists the neutral light, then you'll know for sure.

The pics inside are all of a HK0. I'm thinkin they must have used the manuals marked
CT70 and CT70H until they started using this one. Then went to HK1's.
I'm afraid to mess with it too much. It's too nice for dirty fingers, and it seems like mine are always dirty. I'll look it over a little better tho.

The first CT70 manual just said CT70. No K designation at all. I have one that shows the plastic leverd silvertag in the pics and another that shows the bike with aluminum levers. I have Z50 manuals too. Slantguard, white- black levers, aluminum levers. They changed the manuals often.
