The tank has been painted with some rust inside.

Looks real to me, fuel outlet looks like its had work done to it and possibly needs re soldering/brazing.
Cant quite read the date stamp on it clearly, i have never seen a copy tank with a date stamp on it.

I'm working on a repop tank, at present. Note the "clocking" of the tank mounts. With the aftermarket tank, they're parallel to the short end sides of the tank. These are not. Also, the aftermarket tanks have slightly taller filler necks.

And....X3 on the stamped number. It's not on the repop tank.
