Hi All,
I have been trying to troubleshoot this problem for days and could really use help. I'll try to keep this as plain as a I can without droning on.
- I replaced the tire on my 1972 Honda CT90.
- Reassembled and when I tightened down the nut on the axle, the wheel locks up (won't spin freely)
- I checked the parts diagram (which I attached); verified I have the axle rod, spacer, seal, bearing, spacer, bearing, then the full brake hub assembly including the speedometer.
- I ensured the brake hub (sorry if that's the wrong term) fits flush within the wheel hub, ensuring the speedometer 2 teeth are aligned within the 4 spaces on the wheel hub.
- I have re-greased everything, all the bearing spin.
- I also had a parts bin from the last owner and did a test, where I put a new brake hub on the wheel and it still locked up.
My guesses are the bearings within the hub are locking up, but I have no idea how everything matches the manual and everything spins freely. I don't want to just start throwing money at buying parts until I understand what is wrong. I have attached a few pictures... any help would be extremely appreciated, I'm really stuck.
