Any particular reason why you want a K4, specifically? Only differences between and K3-`79 are the upper covers/headlight ears.

Yep, Me too, Everybody wants one of those. :21:
I've been trying to put a K3 Front end together for a couple'O months now.

I still need: Chrome fork ears, blinkers, chrome blinker-stay, Headlight, Speedometer, Handle-bars with black turn-Knobs, side-reflectors, chrome front-fender, & handlebar throttle and instrument controls. Oh and a tire will complete my front end. :35:

The chrome fork ears are Really expensive! Finding the rest of these items in good usable condition will really lighten your wallet and stress your patience!

The turn signal stalks could be replicated, in a pinch. I'd have `em machined for 3-series stainless, expensive but still viable (barely) and no chrome needed. K3 speedos pop-up on feebay, from time-to-time.

A perfect set of K3-4 headlight ears are easily worth $200+. Having a single straight, but pitted, original re-chromed is a C-note, minimum...and that won't replicate the original matte finish. If the ears, themselves, are damaged the repair process is a :censored: nightmare...on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most difficult, about 27...and that's for a `76-`79, which is painted. There's a lot of stamping detail, including intricate contours, that has to be correct in all three dimensions. K3-4, which are chromed, are cost-prohibitive to restore.

I didn't realize they were so expensive or difficult to find. I was over at Tazillas a couple weeks ago and was oodling over his new bike and just absolutely love the chrome front end. What year would you say is a good year that would still fit my original headlight bucket and would be easy or easier to obtain.
