Here's another p/n that seems to work - 11401-041-000. It was cheap, so now I have it. Fit just fine. I did not have any luck on Partzilla finding where it was used.
Good know. Thanks for finding it Kirby, Now that you're a star, was not sure if you would still talk to us commoners
Was looking for something from CHP and noticed they now have a replacement for the left side alternator cover. While I prefer OEM Honda for most items, this one looked good for the price so I decided to order one. The paint has a glossy clear coat, CHP logo on the inside, a few different casting marks, but looks to be a very nice part in my opinion. Great value & nice part for the $$. Doubt anyone would notice the differences one installed and after a few layers of grime. I have always used a "repaired cover" on my riders and kept a couple nice ones in a box. Will install this one in the next few days. Here are a few pics of the CHP cover next to a nice OEM Honda cover. It should be easy to tell which one is which...but the CHP cover is on the left. https://www.chpmotorsports.com/shop/engine/after-market-flywheel-cover/
I need to look at these pics on a bigger screen, but right now I'm VERY impressed. They got this part right. I can see some minor differences, but they ARE minor. I actually think some of the OEM Honda parts have the same bevel's on the threaded bosses.
Was reading back through this thread a little and I don't think I have never seen a gasket used on the flywheel cover before. Maybe it was one of those things you either got or you didn't when new. Seen some muscle car "options" like that.
