Motorcycle movies that is. I'm looking for some new stuff to watch, so why not make it about two wheels.

What are your recommendations for quality movies based on 2 wheels?

Obviously we all know easy rider, classic flick. And that movie about the worlds fastest Indian. What's it called, the worlds fastest Indian?

So what do you got? Documentaries or fiction. I love em both.

"On Any Sunday" is a must see, they have z50's and Ct70's in it. One Chance to Win is another one of my favorites, it's a motocross movie documenting the 1974 world championship. You can only buy it on-line.

Yah I know . . . its based on a comic book . . . and its actually a little better that the cheesy poster makes it look. Eva Mendes is hot and Nicholas Cage is . . . well . . . Nicholas Cage. Normal by day, Nightrider by night . . . sort of like an edgy Shrek on motorcycles.

Not entirely a motorbike movie but there is plenty of bike and car action, my all time favourite and the best aussie film ever. Who needs ghostrider when you've got the nightrider!

MAD MAX

YouTube - Mad Max

Definately a must if you have never seen it, or havent seen it for a while. And make sure you dont get the dubbed US version with american accents, it just sounds cheesy

On another forum ,a poster recently found out about android tv boxes .I was quite surprised as I have had them for several years .If you like movies ,old tv shows ,concerts , etc. and you don't have one yet ,get one .All you need is descent internet ,and a tv box .You can download it onto a laptop or computer if you don't want to buy a box .My wife and my 25 year old daughter never watch cable anymore ,they just watch the box .If you are paying for netflix ,you are wasting your money as the boxes have no running costs after purchase ,and you have unlimited access to new programming unlike the only 20 or so movies they add per month on netflix .

I'll hafta remember that Android TV Box when I relocate, just in case I need it. As for movies, I concur with MotoDevo from The Land Of Oz: "MAD MAX" is a classic cycle flick. The older films listed are classic as well, but I reckon youse monkeybiking heroes are forgetting something: the LIGHT CYCLES from the "TRON" flicks, those things were FREAKIN' BAD@$$ TWO-WHEELERS, LOL. Just between you and me, I think the next "TRON" flick should incorporate LIGHT MONKEYBIKES, AYE??? Damn, the thought of traveling that fast aboard my FrankenBike just made me NOI-VOUS, LOL.

:43: :43: :43: :43: :43:

Okay, I'm good, where are my LIGHT MONKEYCYCLE KEYS?!? Oh, that's right, I DON'T HAVE ANY LIGHT MONKEYCYCLE KEYS!!! Dammit, boy, I hate it when that happens!!! LOL. :red70:

May see "THE REVENANT" today with my nephew... I have one of those movie gift cards to burn, and my nephew said he's off work and he wants to see the flick. Hopefully, he doesn't change his plans, I don't see him very often anymore and I'd like to speak with him for a few moments about my upcoming relocation. I want him to know that whatever property I buy will be left to him and my niece when I die, and I also want him to know that he'll always be welcome in my new digs, should he grow tired (as I have grown tired) of living in California.

I've been busy for the past few days, renewing my efforts to clear this house... I told myself I'd finish the job before going out to the desert to make my tribute ride to my deceased mom. Looks as if I'll be riding in Imperial County toward the end of the month, when there will be a lull in all this family-related activity. Never expected this house-clearing to last so long, but stuff has been piling up here for 65+ years, and it has been a job of work sorting through it all. In my new life following relocation, things will be more streamlined. :red70:

Hmm... "THE REVENANT" was entertaining enough, but I reckon the director went overboard with his dreary style of filmmaking. I get it, he wanted the harsh and unforgiving look, but to me it seemed like a waste of perfectly good winter & mountain scenery. I say that as a technical rock climber & mountaineer who has seen his share of peaks and wilderness. And there's such a thing as dying of exposure, particularly when wet in sub-freezing temperatures... I suppose that was an insulated Marmot or North Face Gore-Tex buffalo robe the dude was wearing, same as the rest of his attire, pffffft. Meh, I expect too much from these Hollywood movies, better just to dumb it down and go with the flow of entertainment, aye? Alright, back to "SLEEPY HOLLOW" & "JAWS" with Wingnut, we're flipping back and forth between good sections, burning some time before Wild Card Weekend.

:popcorn:Knightriders with Ed Harris. It's Camelot on bikes and a B rated Romero film. Ed rides a CBX 1000. If you liked Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead you'll probably like this one. I saw it at the drive-in back in the day but fell asleep half way through, yes it was that good

Cool!!! "THE SUNDOWNERS" is on TV... nice canyon views in that flick, even if the rides are only 1hp, LOL. :red70:

Edit: I love this old flick, it's hard to follow the first time around, but it has some classic lines, not to mention some primo scenery.

"BEN-HUR" chariot race coming up on TCM in a few minutes, WOOHOO!!! Watch closely, and you'll see me jinking & weaving on my FrankenBike between chariots during the race... would've won the damned race if that Massala wanker hadn't torn up my knobbies with those blades, LOL. :red70:

"Look for my FrankenBike in The Valley of the Lepers..." :43:

Er, Social Lepers, that is, BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Damn, sometimes I slay myself...

Hey, if you were watching closely when Judah Ben-Hur hit that wrecked chariot and went airborne, you might've seen me cutting and carving past him on the inside, 10-4???

A little wall-riding action most viewers miss, since it happened so fast, LOL... :red70:
