Has anyone posted a step by step process for a Lifan conversion to a ST 90 ? I've read and I've read but nothing comes up as a step by step process, not unlike a recipe for baking cake. Some of the engines are listed with a Lifan No. such as 152FM1 which I believe is a4 spd. manual, is the engine I should be sourcing ? What about converting t 12 volt ? what is needed ? Thank for any and all help

Thank you for the responses, & yes Placek59 I know what you mean about to many projects. I purged last fall, down to twelve from fifty-three.
Anyway some one has to have done this with some sort of documentation so that the rest of us wouldn't be forced into the process of re-inventing the wheel so to speak. I am going to jump onto this next week and also considering a CL90 swap which would give me a 4 spd. transmission.

I built a cradle about 10 years ago, when I put a Lifan into a ST90. The cradle bolts to the frame and then the engine bolts to cradle. The ST90 is roughly 3/8” wider at the engine mount, over a CT70. To get chain alignment correct, I used an 1/8” thick plate on the left side and a 1/4” plate on the right side. I’ll be tearing this bike down within a few weeks and will be posting videos to my YouTube channel. I’ll make sure to spend time on the cradle and show good pics/video, with measurements.

Do you have any sketches or drawings of the cradle? Also, does it lower the engine a bit? Want to make another one

I too am interested in said bracket. I would pay a decent amount if you started production, or at least a template to start making one from.
