Holy Mackerel, nice Grand Slam by the Keystone batter!!! 7-2, PA over Japan, and the Keystone Kids may score again here shortly. Our local rag (San Diego Union-Tribune) had the game time wrong, it actually started at noon, but meh, who cares??? I finished all my chores and took a cold shower, now I'm set for an afternoon of viewing ballgames. Damn, some of these Keystone Kids are really hammering that ball, the crack of the bat against the ball sounds louder than the pros, LOL. Saw some cool skating earlier, not only in the Dew Tour but in the World of X Games, which happened to feature freestyle master Rodney Mullen, a wizard at skateboard trick riding. Funny thing, when I was growing up with a bunch of other delinquents from broken homes, skateboarding gnarly vertical in pools and on ramps, let alone early skateparks which came along about the same time, we used to read the short bios of various skaters in the magazines. Each bio was accompanied by one or more photos of the featured skater, 10-4??? Well, along came Rodney Mullen, and all of his pics were flatland pics... I remember saying to my friends, "The dude can't even ride vertical." Only later did I realize how much effort and concentration Rodney put into each of his amazing tricks... his footwork was insane, and even now there are tricks of his that current pros cannot even replicate, LOL. Shows ya how far ahead of his time he was, Rodney Mullen. Ah, well, back to the LLWS game, the Keystone Kids scored again, it's now 10-2, PA.
