Little League World Series

Going to the eighth inning, WOOHOO!!! What a nailbiter on ESPN, all knotted up at 6-6.

"C'MON, SWEETWATER VALLEY, YOU CAN DO IT, BOYZ!!!"

No disrespect to TX, they are hanging tough and repeatedly threatening victory, LOL.

Holy Moly, what a game... but it ain't over yet, not till the fat lady sings, LOL. CA up 7-6 at the bottom of the eighth, but TX can still win, or even tie it up to go to the ninth. Damn, the longest game on record was nearly four hours long, and we're already at, what, three hours and twenty minutes??? What a primo baseball game... best I've seen in many years.

Damn, TX (Gottfried) just tied the game with a solo homer... nailbiting time for CA, LOL.

Wow, what a game!!!

TX pulls out a victory with a second solo homer in the bottom of the eighth... no shame for Sweetwater Valley, that was one heckuva game, best I've ever seen in the LLWS, that's for sure. :41: :yo: :41:

P.S. Much as I like "The Keystone" (as truckers call PA), I'm rooting for TX on Saturday, LOL.

Wow, what a game between Japan & Mexico, Japan just won in extra innings... the game was scoreless through the regulation six innings. Gonna watch the U.S. teams play here shortly, and catch the Travers Stakes as well, might hafta flip back and forth between channels to see all the action. Tonight, the Chokers game against the Seahawks... we'll see how the Chokers stack up against the 'Hawks, be nice to see the Chokers win, but I'm not holding my breath, LOL.

This TX-PA game is pretty good, tied 2-2 at the top of the sixth... this Keystone pitcher is quite the hurler, he has struck out eleven batters, and his pitches reach 72 m.p.h., not bad for a kid his age. I just finished watching the "Sword Dancer" Stakes on the horse-racing channel, not quite time for the Travers Stakes with American Pharaoh (or Pharoah, as the owners call him).

Edit: Whoa, 45,700+ in attendance at this LLWS game between PA and TX, and that's not counting all the folks outside the fence... pretty good crowd for Little League.

Dang, those Keystone Kids just beat TX 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth... should be a good game between PA and Japan tomorrow, and I guess ya already know I'm rooting for PA, LOL. Those Japanese kids were tough in today's early game, tomorrow's match should be a real shootout between pitchers. I reckon the Keystone Kids have an advantage over Japan when it comes to batting... we shall see tomorrow, LOL. Now for the Travers Stakes, with the horses being led toward the gate. Channel 7, for anyone who's interested. Ciao!!!

Gonna be one heckuva game today between the Keystone Kids & Japan, my money's on PA in this one, despite the fact that the Japanese pitcher is a freaking ACE, LOL. The game airs at 1230 Pacific Time on Channel 10, for anybody interested in watching the purest form of baseball. But first, we have the Dew Tour from downtown L.A., with street skating featured... I'd prefer vert skating, but meh, I'll take the street skating as I make breakfast, the standard Sunday Morning Cholesterol Feast. We also have football action today, but I'll watch the LLWS before I switch to the Texans at the Saints. Cardinals at Raiders later this evening, the Birds in "The Black Hole"---probably be stripped of their feathers before the game, not to mention their wallets, rental car hubcaps, rental car stereos, entire rental cars, etc., etc. Well, my friend is about to arrive to help me operate on Wingnut, so this is where I sign off, ADIOS!!!

Holy Mackerel, nice Grand Slam by the Keystone batter!!! 7-2, PA over Japan, and the Keystone Kids may score again here shortly. Our local rag (San Diego Union-Tribune) had the game time wrong, it actually started at noon, but meh, who cares??? I finished all my chores and took a cold shower, now I'm set for an afternoon of viewing ballgames. Damn, some of these Keystone Kids are really hammering that ball, the crack of the bat against the ball sounds louder than the pros, LOL. Saw some cool skating earlier, not only in the Dew Tour but in the World of X Games, which happened to feature freestyle master Rodney Mullen, a wizard at skateboard trick riding. Funny thing, when I was growing up with a bunch of other delinquents from broken homes, skateboarding gnarly vertical in pools and on ramps, let alone early skateparks which came along about the same time, we used to read the short bios of various skaters in the magazines. Each bio was accompanied by one or more photos of the featured skater, 10-4??? Well, along came Rodney Mullen, and all of his pics were flatland pics... I remember saying to my friends, "The dude can't even ride vertical." Only later did I realize how much effort and concentration Rodney put into each of his amazing tricks... his footwork was insane, and even now there are tricks of his that current pros cannot even replicate, LOL. Shows ya how far ahead of his time he was, Rodney Mullen. Ah, well, back to the LLWS game, the Keystone Kids scored again, it's now 10-2, PA.

Jap kids roaring back, it's now a 10-9 game and the Japs aren't done yet in this inning. Hey, I just read an interesting bio of Rodney Mullen on WikiPedia, I never knew he went on to make $$$ MILLIONS $$$ in the industry... I knew he made SOME $$$ in his day, but I never knew he made THAT much, and he's not done yet either, LOL. Funny how things turn out. Moi, I was WAY too antisocial to ever go that route, but that's alright too, I'm richer in life experience than ol' Rodney, who is actually about four years younger than I am, LOL. Well, let me amend that statement: I'm richer in certain types of life experience. No discredit to Rodney, he has lived quite a life already (for a youngster, LOL). I'm sure that if we ever met, we'd both be laughing in no time at all the crazy things done back in the day while skateboarding. Common ground if ever there was any, and that's no lie... like that new video coming out, "WE ARE BLOOD!!!" I wanna see that video, it should be pretty damned good, and hardcore too, whether you're a street skater or a vert skater, or both.

Suffering Sashimi!!! [instead of succotash, LOL] The Jap Kids have come roaring all the way back to tie it up, 10-10. Next thing ya know, they'll be kicking the shins and slapping the faces of the Keystone Kids, LOL. Damn. Anyway, that "WE ARE BLOOD" video is already out, I just watched a trailer for the film, and it had some really cool shots in it... I liked that one sequence where the dude rode down that hangar-like building, that was radical, LOL. Check out the trailer when ya get a spare moment, it doesn't cost a dime. I watched it at that "Zumies" site, since my first-generation iPad doesn't always get YouTube videos, they have to be embedded first (or some such b.s.). Damn, the Japs are up 13-10, I'm back to this exciting game, you baseball fans be sure to turn on this classic, with the number of runs already tying the record, and it's only the top of the third, LOL.
