Some things never change, in this case the human condition. However, the point of that lyric was to say "you have to find your own answers". To quote another celeb (one with a much shorter shelf-life) "it's one of those things that makes you go 'HMMMMMMMMMM'" Politics has always held a great deal in common with what gets stuck to shoe soles after walking carelessly through a dairy pasture and it's always going to be that way. If you're going to walk through one of those fields, at least keep your eyes open and tread carefully:eek:

I always kind of thought what they were saying is that every election gets our hopes up, only to have them dashed again, regardless of which party ends up in control. The "won't get fooled again" lyric seems to be saying, "I'm done believing in your empty promises, . . . You aren't fooling me again." Of course, I suppose that's all a matter of interpretation. And since I never took drugs or smashed expensive electric guitars my interpretation might be different from what the author intended. :D

Yep, that's about the size of it. :)

Too true. Unfortunately, what the politicians are peddling doesn't wash off as easily, and isn't even useful as fertilizer.
