Ok guys i've seen a few different luggage racks around but there was this particular one for a hardtail I saw a few years ago on ebay and it went for big dollars.
It had a bar or two that more turned it into a basket shape rather than a flat rack, Just wondering if anyone has seen them or even has them..
On a side note there is a J1 rack on ebay for $175 but it looks nothing like the J1 racks i've seen..

I have a rack on both of my ST90 bikes that is sturdy and fits like a glove. Good, thick chrome. It's not basket shaped but attaching a milk crate to it would work if I was so inclined.

I guess I should mention that "Triple-A" made these two racks and I have not seen any better.

Rick, Do you have a part# or a web link for the st90 rack? I have been looking for one of those and a decent front fender for a little over a year now.

I found them both using "Saved Searches" on EBay. They fit more than ST90 bikes and there is no model number. However, it does indicate that it fits ST90, CB100 and CL100. Run a luggage rack search for all three of these bikes and it will eventually turn up for you. But stick with the Triple A brand.

I think it is too dark for a good picture tonight.

Hi Rick. I'm restoring a 1974 ST90 and would love to see a picture of one of your luggage racks so that I will know it when it finally turns up on Ebay. Will you kindly post a picture when you get a chance? Thanks

    Hello SRW,

Yes, absolutely tomorrow. I will try to take one of both ST90 bikes and my CL100 bike. It's basically the same "Triple-A" brand rack for all three. I have found a couple without the fender braces since then and I did not buy them but I'd grab them now. My metal fabricating skills have gotten a lot better since then but these braces would be simple to make with or without skills. I have also entered brief periods of financial insanity bidding on these racks so beware. Judgement comes from experience and experience comes from bad judgement so please don't succumb to my bad judgement.

Note to self also on paper - take luggage rack pictures tomorrow!! =

SAM_0582.JPG SAM_0583.JPG Turns out I already had pictures of the CL100 Triple-A rack. It was badly chromed beyond polishing when I got it so I blasted it bare and painted it semi-gloss black. Matches the yellow bike pretty good, I think.

And here's a side by side picture of the two ST90 bikes - also forgot I had these. Sorry for the milk crates blocking the view. If you need a better look at the brace pieces, please let me know and I will get some.

While tinkering in the shed saw this rack, so slapped it on the back of an st90 frame. The guard/fender is just a suzuki moped on i propped there to give you an idea of proportion as i have a small rear wheel on it at the moment but looks very similar and is a perfect fit to the shocks. Make a couple of brackets to bolt it to the rear fender and it would work. I'm betting a lot of 70s and 80s rear racks would do the job.
This one is from a early 70s suzuki tc100

Thanks guys! Rick if I could get one more pick of the rack on an ST90 without the milk crates that would be awesome. That's one sweet CL100 too! Motodevo I like the look of that rack as well. Will it fit over the ST90 tool box?

Opps... got stuck helping my daughter do homework and by the time i got the squids to bed, i totally forgot. Sorry.
Just tried it with the tool box and the rear side mounts foul on the toolbox, it will fit if they were cut of, you would have to fab up rear rack mounts to fit it to an st90 anyway.

I'm thinking you really want a better look at how the rack mounts to the rear fender and brake light assembly. The mounting at the front at the shock absorber is easy to understand - at each top post.

I did not take a picture of the "Triple-A" logo but it is embossed in a cursive font and is on an upright flat piece of bar stock below the flat carrying surface of the rack. Some indicate what bikes it fits but this particular rack in the picture has no such indication. But please be aware that a CL100 rack will fit an ST90 perfectly so you should enlarge your "Followed Search" pattern on Ebay accordingly.

And as you can see, my milk crate is mounted with some wire ties. Please let me know if you need other angles photographed.

That's awesome Rick, thanks a lot. Now I just need to find one! The one I'm seeing on ebay now from Thailand that says it will fit a CB or CL100 just doesn't look like that is the case.

Yes, I just looked at that Thai rack. Looks like it would be unsupported beneath the carrying surface. Not good. With some patience a rack will eventually show up but you will need to react quickly. And likely pay more than you want to get it.
