I suffered a spinal cord injury and wanted to ride my childhood bike as it's the only one I have low enough (would love to ride a vintage husky '73 again) so I first put training wheels on then had no wheelchair so I added the sidecar.

It's not finished at all, don't have the money but it will be a woody wheelchair sidecar when I get the materal for xmas maybe...

Still need a fender and more work but in time, very fun.

This is awesome! Nothing can replace the memories of riding a Trail 70 as a kid but, riding one as a grown up is pretty close.

That's cool Ken. I've seen sidecars set-up for wheel chairs. I saw a very nice home made example at Mid-Ohio about 15 years ago. The bike was one of the ubiquitous 400's from the 80's. The car was a low floored platform. There was a hinged ramp at the back. The fellow wheeled his chair up the ramp onto the floor of the car. The ramp was pulled up and locked behind his chair. The guy had all the hand controls on the car and that is where he drove it. He claimed he was fast on gravel roads.
