You're gonna want to test fit your exhaust pretty quick. Make sure it works around all those parts that you have mounted so far. The exhaust can be a big hangup sometimes.

Doh...I see it's already there...
Oh ya...it IS gonna be loud...any muffle in that muffler?
Hey, good eye!!! In the pic the exhaust is just setting in place, not bolted in. I am having some fitment issues with it. I haven’t quite sorted it out yet, that’s why I haven’t said anything about it. It not bad, just hitting a little. I still got a little figuring out to do, and I’ll post it when I do. Probably just need a little hammer time clearance love. Also, the mounting tab that’s welded on the pipe is a little weird. And it not a straight pipe, it has an internal baffle. Thanks.

Man, have you ever seen easy rider ?? Looks like there's a new kid on the block, especially with those bars and that side kickin' pipe. (y) Rock N Roll :D

Funny you should say that...cause I’m totally planning to rock this helmet while riding this CT

Ok... so I mounted my front tire on a 12 inch rim
876A2C88-FF8D-426C-986D-1AC6119006B2.jpeg

Then mounted the hub and disc and installed it on the bike. I had to shim the tire to center with about a quarter inch bushing on the left and a three quarter inch bushing on the right.

I also had to cut into this part of the lower fork to keep the disc from hitting. It’s not exactly what I wanted to do, but hey, who’s gonna know but me...and all of you!

Now I’ll fit the exhaust. It’s not quite perfect for this set up but I think I can make it work. It’s hitting on this bolt on the starter
FC956F4B-8A77-44BF-887B-454DB2F30795.jpeg

So I mark where it’s hitting
7D9EC2F4-41AF-4284-A6EC-E058F3DB39B3.jpeg

And the I took a large drill bit and laid it in the mark and beat it in with a hammer.

It fits a lot better now.

I now just gotta figure out how to secure the other end of the pipe. I’m thinking a stainless hose clamp with the screw turned to the back so no one can see.

I put a magna flow stainless exhaust on a car a few years ago. came with some pretty nice stainless band clamps with hard rubber mounts. your exhaust might be large enough to use something like that? I believe they didnt have all the slots for screw to roll thru. could be a clean option?

Good idea, I’ll try and find some. Thanks

Does anyone know a good fix for this. It seems that my right foot peg isn’t far enough away from the motor and kick pedal. Does anyone make about a 3” foot peg extender for this??? BTW... that’s my dog “Toby”. He really likes working on the CT70 too

Ok...let’s go back to this right foot peg extender. OldCT is right, it does exist. So I think I’ll make one.

I’ll start with this piece of 1” plate I’ve had laying around
C90F5A4C-9A17-4FFE-AB1B-1FE705652E6E.jpeg

I cut it with a grinder then used a belt sander to square up the cut

And then I make one more cut, and back to the sander.

After a lot of sanding, I’m left with this block

Ok, now I drill two holes for the extender. 2 inch separation will make this a 2” extender
11A0EDCC-DF55-4744-B956-422BC7FEC2CD.jpeg

A little filling and I’ve got it to fit in the stock
7D05FB7F-2B85-4832-A773-C971AA180E51.jpeg

Then I used the grinder to cut the new socket where the foot peg will go.

And a little filling to fit

A belt and disc sander to round everything over

I don’t think it looks too bad. Now I need to paint it.

Here it is painted...red! I thought I would make it stand out so when I showed it to people I could point at it and say “I made the...the red thing “.

As much as I like your ingenuity :) I must say that if ever you were to have an accident on your bike with the tank mounted like that, it runs the risk of being a potential petrol bomb! If your fuel lines got severed during a crash and there was a spark - man, I wouldn't like to think !!!

Be careful dude............ at least in standard form the tank is surrounded by the frame and the fuel lines aren't out in the open !!! It's your gig but, I'd errr on the side of caution (y)

Thanks for the warning. Hopefully....I won’t wreck it.

So I decided to be a little difficult and different with my auxiliary gas tank. I mounted one to my front forks. I dig it!!!!

Will your front fender still work as planned...and not hit the tire when the shocks bottom out? Careful how you route the fuel line too.
Pretty bold move with that bigol fuel tank out front.
Be interesting to see if you'll like it...long term.

I think those Nibbi carbs are pretty new "on the scene". Not much info about them yet...but what I DID see, was positive reviews. 28mm sounds pretty dang big to me, but so does 190cc :)
Maybe the extra fuel will help keep the front tire on the pavement.

Well. I’m not sure, I haven’t tried to fit the front fender yet. But I don’t think the fuel tank drops under the lower fork clamp. So I should be fine on the fender...if I decide to run it. I’m kinda digging the no front fender look.

Everything I’ve read says the bikes stock fuel tank isn’t adequate to make a long trip so I knew I had to add an auxiliary tank. I’ve seen the rear rack mounted and the side mounted and really didn’t like those options. Especially the side...because I plan to run some saddle bags. So the only other thing I could think of was put it up front. This tank will give me another gallon. So I’ll rock it a while and see how it goes.
