Just joined the group. Hoping I can gain some insight to these kool little bikes. I have my wife’s 1970 ct70 in boxes and would like to put it back in one piece. The bike was bought for my wife and sister to ride at the lake while her folks fished and entertained back in the late seventies early eighties. My wife’s ex husband took it apart twenty plus years ago and never did anything with it other than put it in boxes. I’m not going to restore it just put it back together so we can putt down to the mail box and cruise around the neighborhood. Any help on manuals to buy and parts sources would be appreciated. I will get photos of the boxes of bike soon. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! The forum members are your most valuable tool. Links to manuals can be found on the site. There are multiple good parts vendors, and somewhat depends on where you live and what you need. My 71 CT is in a box too🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

Welcome - have a couple in boxes as well. We certainly can help you get it back together correctly and running as well. If you google “CT70 K1 cmsnl” you’ll get to a European parts supplier who shows you the parts list and schematics. If your bike isn’t a K1 model just modify the search. Back then bikes went by model not year , K0, K1, K2 etc. we can help figure that out as well.

My bike is completely disassembled and in ziploc bags inside one of those crates. Everything fits…except the frame. Maybe if I stuffed parts inside it I could make it work. But I have the frame up on a shelf in the a garage because I like reminders that there aren’t enough hours in the day.

Can you fit a complete bike in one crate? Can you then STACK those crates?? 😳
Yes kirrbby, this is the crate the guy bought in California and shipped the exact matching numbers k1H bike in I bought on eBay,,it all fit he just used big zip ties to hold the lid down ,,, it does have wheels on one end so not 100% sure it could be stacked? I’m sure the wheels could be removed and it would…he got it from Lowe’s or Home Depot but I can’t remember what store..the motor I already disassembled so it’s not in the pic but was in there..
