I'm starting to get excited, I fought a no fire issue for a while today, good engine to frame ground, good coil ground, coil checked out, cleaned and reset points, still no fire. Had a couple of cool down beverages, looked up a wiring diagram, realized I didn't have my battery plug hooked up, that black jumper wire is in there for a reason, what a dumbass.

I didn't realize they were not open to the public, glad I called before the trip, they said come on down and they would let me in, so if you desire a trip, I would call and make arrangements, I'm just a small time purchaser tho.

I'm going tomorrow, I don't see anywhere on their website that states they are not open to the public, by looking at their picture, you would think they have a walk in storefront.

Made the trip to CHP today, made sure I told them the guys at lilhonda said hello and appreciated them for helping keep our hobby alive. I did confirm that they have not been open to the public since Covid, they said if you showed up for a few parts they wouldn't turn you away, but if you you have a big order, phone in or order online, but you can pick it up. They are very helpful and took the time to answer all my questions. They have about 15 bikes on the floor for sale, took a few pics of the Hondas they had, the CT70s were nice. Does anyone have a pic of where the muffler packing is located, does it go under the muffler guard clamp?

You are correct, it goes under the guard clamp. If you’re using a new honda exhaust I wouldn’t recommend putting it on, that packing will hold moisture and that’s where every pipe rusts thru at. Without that packing you may hear a tiny rattle from the clamp but pipe will never rust at that spot.
Possibly?? As long as it’s not wrapped so tight that moisture can’t dry out. Are you wanting something there for looks or worrying about a rattle? If your going to ride it a lot I could see not wanting an annoying rattle, if not I think they look fine with nothing there versus aluminum foil, just my preference. All my bikes with new or original good pipes do not have that packing, learned my lesson even in my dry west Texas weather.
